This section provides a brief guide on how to administer your local RIPS on-premises installation.
Before you install RIPS, please ensure to check our recommendations and requirements on your server's operating system, network settings, hardware and software. Typically, RIPS is run on a Linux server with sufficient memory. The server does not need to be connected to the internet.
RIPS comes as Docker containers and is installed via our installer tool. It installs and starts all RIPS Docker containers with a single command. Please read the installation instructions carefully to ensure that your setup is configured correctly. Please also check your file permissions.
You can deinstall RIPS any time and/or move RIPS to a different server. For licensing questions please get in touch with your account manager.
On-premises customers are informed via email newsletter about important updates. In order to avoid interruptions/changes in integrated setups, users can decide when to install new updates manually. Offline updates are possible.
All personal data and analysis findings are stored in the RIPS database. We recommend to regulary create backups of this database to avoid the loss of any sensitive data. Backups can be restored at any time.
